Do you believe that uncertainty is always a negative thing or can it give the opportunity for the glorious work of God to be revealed?

At this present time we are living in a world of uncertainty. The world has come to a grinding halt due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with many countries being in partial or full lockdown and with no real indication of when we may be able to return to our normal, free lives. It’s because of this that James decided to base his last “Spilling the Beans” message on the topic of uncertainty from a Christian perspective. His own reflections led him to explore how we can deal with uncertainty by referring to the Bible, particularly reflecting upon the life of Moses. James concluded by recalling Isaiah 41:10 “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

But does uncertainty have a role to play within the life of a Christian? Throughout the Bible we are able to see countless accounts of God’s people encountering and confronting uncertainty. Therefore, do you believe that uncertainty is always a negative thing or can it give the opportunity for the glorious work of God to be revealed?
