Reflecting on the opportunities, situations and challenges you’ve faced, would you say they have helped your faith and relationship with Jesus or not?

Today’s Spiritual WOW is based on this week’s TLC World message on stress. Stress is a funny thing and people deal with it in different ways. For some, it causes illness while others can seem to thrive on it!  Sometimes we even need stress in order to develop ourselves. This is especially true when you undergoing physical training. If you do not stress your body sufficiently when you exercise, then your body will not become faster, stronger or fitter. However, if you over stress the body, then it may not repair efficiently and after a while it could breakdown resulting in an injury.

I believe the same can be said about our spiritual fitness. If we do not stress our minds with theological thought or if God did not stress our faith by placing opportunities, situations or challenges in front of us, then we would not be able to develop a deeper, wider and stronger faith.

Reflecting on the opportunities, situations and challenges you’ve faced, would you say they have helped your faith and relationship with Jesus or not?

From a Christian standpoint Simon, one way to deal with a potentially stressful situation, often involving challenging issues, is to view the situation as an opportunity for learning and growth. I believe this is what James 1 is all about.
